Planned Surgery Benefit Overview

The Transcarent Planned Surgery program saves you money and expands your provider options beyond the medical plan network to top-rated hospitals, surgery centers and doctors nationwide.

Covered Surgical Procedures

Transcarent Planned Surgery Benefit covers many bariatric, cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, spine, vascular, women’s health, and general procedures. See list of most common covered surgical procedures.

Note: emergency, pediatric (under age 13), cancer, cosmetic, dental, diagnostic, vision and transplant procedures are not available through Transcarent Surgery Care.

Care Coordination

Your Care Coordinator manages the entire surgery process, so you don’t have to — from answering your questions, handling paperwork, scheduling appointments, and all the logistics of your surgery, we’ve got you covered.

Coverage

When you choose the Transcarent Planned Surgery Benefit, the Fund will cover your surgery at 100% and pays for airfare, lodging and a meal allowance for the patient and a companion. There is no deductible or coinsurance when you choose a Transcarent provider.
