The Health & Welfare Fund Helps Protect Your Family’s Future

No one wants to think about it, but what would happen to your family financially if you died or became disabled? Who would pay for your funeral expenses? How would the mortgage/rent continue to be paid? What about car payments, utilities, and groceries?

That’s why Life, Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D), and Long-Term Disability coverage are so important. These benefits provide financial protection, ensuring that if the unexpected happens, you and your family have a safety net.

The Fund provides the following protection to eligible participants at no cost to you:

Life Insurance. If you pass away, your beneficiary will receive a benefit.

AD&D Insurance. If you lose an eye, hand, or foot, you’ll receive a benefit; or if you die in an accident, your beneficiary will receive a benefit.

Weekly Disability Income. If you are unable to work because of a non-occupational injury or illness, the Fund provides a weekly income benefit.
